A freelance travel essayist and writer, usually found somewhere between Italy and California, wherever the wine is good, and the bread is better. For more than twenty years, I have traveled internationally, and writing and photography are how I hold onto what I find along the way.
I am currently writing my first memoir, The House at the Town's End, which I am sharing chapter by chapter as it comes to life.

When I'm not traveling with my best friend and favorite person, Liam, I'm usually trying to teach my four grandbabes how to wander well. Lately, I think they're teaching me.
